Wells Fargo Demonstrates Strong Commitment to Empowering USBC Chamber Members with Generous Funding Support during the USBC National Conference

[Washington, DC] – [August 7, 2023] – The U.S. Black Chambers, Inc.  is proud to announce that Wells Fargo has provided $100,000 in funding for select local chambers to receive funding and support for their vital initiatives.  This strategic partnership was announced at the USBC National Conference July 21, 2023 and aims to uplift and empower Black-owned businesses and foster economic development in local communities.  The collaboration facilitates the establishment of essential connections with local market leaders to bolster community strength and prosperity.

“Wells Fargo is pleased this year to continue our ongoing support of U.S. Black Chambers, Inc. and its chamber network to deliver the level of support essential to business growth and economic development in local communities”, said Bob Marshall, Senior Vice President, National Business Development Strategy Executive at Wells Fargo. “We view this as a business imperative to ensure that all businesses, large or small, have the tools and resources that drive innovation and impact to make certain that neighborhoods continue to thrive.”

This year’s partnership between USBC and Wells Fargo resulted in grants that were proudly presented during the esteemed USBC National Conference. John Maurelus, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Development Leader at Wells Fargo, took the main stage to award the following chambers with funding checks:

  • Greater Atlanta Black Chamber of Commerce: $15,000
  • Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce: $15,000
  • African American Chamber of Commerce of PA, NJ, and DE: $15,000
  • Greater Durham Black Chamber of Commerce: $15,000
  • Greater Washington Black Chamber of Commerce: $15,000
  • Dallas Black Chamber/Texas African American Chamber of Commerce: $10,000
  • African American Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce: $10,000

These substantial grants will play a pivotal role in supporting and elevating various initiatives undertaken by the recipient chambers, ultimately contributing to the growth and prosperity of Black businesses and communities they serve.
