Talisha is an economic justice, small business and entrepreneurship expert working to ensure corporate and public policies benefit historically overlooked communities. She is leveraging nearly two decades of experience in her current role as Executive Vice President for the United States Black Chambers (USBC), where she leads engagement with policymakers, corporations, and other key influencers to advocate for policies and programs that expand entrepreneurship, and address the unique challenges facing BIPOC small businesses. In her 7 year tenure at USBC, she’s secured over $50M in capital, contracts and grants for USBC’s national network of chambers of commerce and business members by encouraging inclusive community investment and supplier diversity programs. In acknowledgement of her thought leadership, she serves as a MOSAIC Fellow for the Progressive Policy Institute where she shares insights on small business and entrepreneurship policy. Additionally, she serves as a Google NEXTGEN Policy Leader, which is an esteemed advisory council working to solve global issues of tech and telecommunications policy.
Prior to her work at USBC, Talisha led business development and marketing for Fortune 500 companies i.e. Cisco, Sprint (T-Mobile) and Comcast. As a service to her community, Talisha serves on the Board of Directors for Family Equality – a national organization working to advance legal and lived equality for LGBTQ families. Talisha is a cum laude graduate of Florida A&M University where she studied Public Relations and Political Science on academic scholarship.
