J.K. Phenix is a non-profit strategist and government relations professional aiming to advance opportunities for historically marginalized communities. In his current role at the U.S. Black Chambers, he works to support the nation’s 3.2 million Black-owned businesses by advancing inclusive & equitable public policy and services for a robust economic ecosystem. His primary mission is to lead innovative work in the continuum of entrepreneurship, workforce development, and affordable housing to support disadvantaged populations.
J.K. graduated Magna Cum Laude from Virginia Union University. He attended Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy as a distinguished Bryce Harlow Fellow to obtain a Master’s degree in Public Policy. J.K. also holds a professional certificate in political campaign management from the University of Richmond.
In his spare time, J.K. enjoys running long distances and creating community with friends and colleagues. He is a native of Decatur, Georgia
